It's trivially easy to create thousands of fake accounts online. Conventional platforms address this through centralized verification — passport, phone number, bank card. That means handing your data to a corporate intermediary. Parahub takes a different approach.
How Web of Trust works
- Meet a verified community member — in person or through mutual contacts
- Ask them to verify your profile in Parahub
- Once 3 different people confirm you, you become a verified participant
- Now you can verify others — and are responsible for whom you vouch for
Skin in the game
Verification isn't just a click. If an account you verified turns out to be fake, all three of its verifiers are automatically banned as well. This creates a real incentive to vouch only for people you actually know.
