Our principles

Voluntary by default
When you send a payment or create an ad campaign, you see a small prompt: 0%, 0.1%, or 1%. You pick. It remembers your choice. That's it.
Full visibility
Total collected, number of supporters, breakdown by month — all public, real-time, on this page.
No platform fees
P2P payments, barter, marketplace — always zero commission. The donation is a separate transaction, never deducted from the recipient.
No hidden charges
We don't sell data, don't show third-party ads, don't monetize your attention. If we earn money, it's listed here.

Revenue sources

Voluntary donations (wallet & ads)

After any Lightning payment or when creating an ad campaign, you choose how much to contribute: 0%, 0.1% (default for new users), or 1%. This is a separate Lightning transaction to the association's address. The platform never touches your funds.

Ads listing fee

Advertisers can optionally support the platform when creating campaigns. Same 0% / 0.1% / 1% choice. For context: Google takes 32%, we suggest 0.1%.

Energy management fee (EGAC)

As the registered energy manager (EGAC) under Portuguese law DL 15/2022, Parahub charges a fixed 1% management fee for ACC solar energy groups. This covers regulatory compliance, billing, and distribution coefficient management. This is not a donation — it's a legal obligation for the management service.

What we never do

  • Take a cut from P2P payments — your money goes directly to the recipient
  • Charge for barter — multilateral exchange is always free
  • Sell user data or show third-party advertisements
  • Hold your funds — we are not a payment processor (NO ESCROW)
