Printed Tips
Small bearer notes you fund from your own wallet and give away — as a link, or printed on paper. Whoever holds the note owns what is on it, and nobody custodies it in between, not even Parahub. A note nobody claims comes back to you by itself.
How it works
- 1Create a batch: how many notes, how many sats on each, how long before unclaimed ones return, and a greeting to print on them.
- 2Each note's secret is generated in your browser and funded from your wallet — one payment per note. The server is never told a batch exists.
- 3Give it away: copy the note's link and send it however you like, or print the sheet — nine notes on an A4 page, with cut lines.
- 4The holder opens the link (or scans the QR from the paper) and cashes out to any Lightning, Spark, or Bitcoin address — or simply keeps it.
It is a bearer note — treat it like cash
Whoever can read the code can claim it, on paper or in a link. That is what makes a note giftable, and it means a stack of them deserves the same care as banknotes. Send each link to one person only: the first to open it takes the money. And you cannot take a note back once given — until it expires, it is genuinely the holder’s.
Where this comes from
Printable bitcoin tips are not a new idea here. From 2013 to 2024 the same thing ran at bctip.org, by the same author — except that version had to keep your coins in its own wallet until somebody redeemed them. This one never holds them at all.
bctip.orgPrint your own sheet: the notes are funded from your wallet, and whatever nobody claims comes back to you.
