Weather & Air Quality

Your own weather station or air-quality sensor, live on the community map. The readings are yours; whether to publish them is a choice you make per station.

How it works

  1. 1Add the station under Devices: give it a name, pick the device type, and place it on the map.
  2. 2Readings arrive either because the device posts them to the address shown on the station's card, or — if the sensor sits on a Parahub mesh network — because they are collected for you every few minutes with nothing to configure on the device.
  3. 3Decide whether the station appears on the public map, and separately whether your name appears next to it.

What a station reports

  • Weather: temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, gusts and direction, rain, solar radiation and UV.
  • Air: particulates (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), CO2, and volatile-compound and nitrogen-oxide indices, summarised as a standard air-quality index.
Live on the map
Public stations update without a reload, each with an instrument readout beside it. Stations that measure wind direction also get a compass that keeps pointing correctly as you rotate the map. A station that falls silent is dimmed and marked stale instead of passing old numbers off as fresh.
History and raw data
Charts over 24 hours or 7 days on the station's card, a year of readings kept, and a raw CSV download for your own analysis.
Nothing to configure on the mesh
A supported sensor on the local network of a Parahub mesh node is read directly. No vendor cloud account, no address to paste, no firmware settings.
Point at the source
You can link a station to its own page on the manufacturer's site, so anyone looking at your data on the map can compare it with the original.

Publishing readings is not publishing yourself

Making a station public and showing your name next to it are two separate switches. Readings at a point can be useful to a whole neighbourhood without announcing who lives there — so a public station never names you unless you ask it to.
