Mesh Network Firmware

Plug in a router — it builds the network itself

Firmware 25.12.0-ph23

Seamless WiFi

Walk between rooms — your device switches access points without dropping connection. 802.11r fast roaming across all nodes.

Free guest WiFi

Open network for neighbors and visitors. Speed-limited to 512 kbps, fully isolated from your private LAN.

VPN by default

All guest traffic exits through a Mullvad VPN tunnel. You are not liable for guest activity (EU Mere Conduit).

Zero configuration

Unique network name, subnets, and encryption keys generated from MAC address at first boot. Just plug in.

Remote management

Monitor, configure WiFi, run diagnostics — all from the Parahub IoT dashboard. No port forwarding needed.

Earn from WiFi

Guests who want full speed pay satoshis via Lightning. The router lifts the throttle instantly. You earn without lifting a finger.

How to flash

After flashing, the router reboots and auto-configures in ~2 minutes. Connect to the Parahub_XXXX WiFi network. Check /etc/parahub/keys for credentials.

What happens on first boot

  1. 1Unique hostname and SSID generated from MAC address (e.g. Parahub_A3F7)
  2. 2Private and guest subnets derived from MAC (collision-free across nodes)
  3. 3Shared mesh key pre-configured — nodes connect automatically
  4. 44 wireless interfaces created: 2 mesh backhaul + 2 access points
  5. 5Firewall isolates guest network from private LAN
  6. 6Credentials saved to /etc/parahub/keys on the router
