Child Safety Standards

These are the published standards of Parahub - Associação against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on the Parahub platform. They apply to every part of the service where people publish content or interact: profiles, marketplace listings, posts, comments, photos, videos, events, establishments and chat.

1. Our Commitment

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Parahub is a community platform designed for and directed at adults. Any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors is banned and leads to immediate action.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited, without exception:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, animated or AI-generated imagery
  • Grooming: contacting or befriending a minor with the aim of sexual contact, online or offline
  • Sextortion: threatening or blackmailing a person using real or alleged access to their intimate images
  • Any sexualization of minors, including sharing links to such material hosted elsewhere
  • Trafficking of minors or advertising a child for commercial sexual exploitation

3. In-App Reporting

Every profile and every piece of user-generated content on Parahub can be reported from inside the app with the report button. Reports include categories such as sexual or explicit content and illegal activity, plus a free-text description.

Reports arrive in a moderation queue reviewed by our team. Reports involving suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation are handled with the highest priority. In chat, participants can additionally report messages and block users.

4. Enforcement

When we identify CSAE content or conduct, we:

  • Remove the content immediately
  • Terminate the accounts involved
  • Preserve the evidence for law enforcement
  • Report it to the competent authorities

5. Cooperation with Authorities

We comply with applicable child safety laws. Confirmed or suspected CSAM is reported to the competent authorities — in Portugal, the Polícia Judiciária and the Linha Internet Segura hotline (a member of the INHOPE network) — and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement in other jurisdictions.

6. Child Safety Contact

Our designated child safety point of contact can speak to Parahub's CSAE prevention practices and compliance. For reports and questions from users, authorities and industry partners:
